Project Overview

Beginning Monday, October 13, 2025, the Wayne County Department of Public Services will begin rehabilitation of the Evergreen Road bridges over the Lower Rouge River, located just south of Fair Lane.

This project includes sealing and repairing the bridge surfaces, replacing joints and damaged railings, and upgrading the bridge supports beneath the structure. The work will enhance long-term safety and extend the lifespan of the bridges.

Construction is expected to continue through Summer 2026, weather permitting.
